What is true Tawhid? Very simply, in the Arabic, it means “Oneness of God.” توحيد

Why is this concept so important? Long before the time of the prophets, there was a mere man by the name of Adam. God created him and breathed life into his lifeless body. A great verse for this is in Torah (or Torat), where it says, “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image according to our likeness.” – Genesis 1. Qur’an says, “We have certainly created man in the best of stature.”
The Torah confirms that there is only one God in Deuteronomy 6 – “Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.”
The New Testament or the Injeel also confirms that there is only one God in Revelation 1 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, Beginning and End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Qur’an also confirms that God is one God in Surah (chapter) 2 “And your god is one God. There is no deity except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.”
Please do keep in mind, each one of these books is clear in many places that there is only one God. There can only ever be one God.
Muslims suggest that Tawhid
Islam:
Qur’an says, “Behold, my prayer, and my acts of worship, and my living and dying are for God, the sustainer of all the worlds in whose divinity none has a share: for thus have I been bidden – and I shall be foremost among those who surrender themselves unto him.” 6:162-3
Qur’an also says, “Do you then worship, instead of God, something that cannot benefit you in any way, nor harm you? Fie upon you and upon all that you worship instead of God! Will you not, then, use your reason?” 21:66-67
